Some exciting news in the Haslam household and our adoption story...WE'RE APPROVED AND PUBLISHED! We're approved to adopt through LDS Family Services! We have a profile on their "It's About Love" site...you can check it out here!
https://itsaboutlove.org/ial/profiles/32425765/ourMessage.jsf
Please, if you can in ANY way pass along, email, txt, blog, send an owl out into the universe, and share our story and profile, we would be SO appreciative!
The sad news is...we don't have very long! LDS Family Services is discontinuing to do adoptions at the end of the year! We feel SO very fortunate we get to be with them for a couple of months...so we're going to make those months count!
I'm an continually in awe and amazement at the kindness of everyone that has helped us so far spread the news! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

The Entire Universe...
Steve and I have great conversations while driving in the car...it's some of my favorite time that we spend together. We started reminiscing yesterday about the events that led up to how we met (it's a pretty good story...look it up in our love story). By the end of our conversation, I turned to him and said "I'm SO glad you found me!"
Call it fate, call it heavenly intervention, call it what you will...but somehow the stars aligned just right for us, and we became a family. It amazes me to think that it could have so easily gone the other way...and we could have simply passed each other by. How glad I am that we didn't!
I spent years wishing, hoping, praying that I would find him. And through all the ups and downs, the wrong turns, the almosts-what-ifs-could-have-beens...it came down to just being in the right place at the right time.
But now we're wishing, hoping and praying together...to find our missing piece. And I believe the universe will conspire again to help us find each other.

The Best Two Years...
Dear Birthmom,
It was two years ago, on a beautiful day in July, this happened...
He took my hand, and I took his, and we promised to be a family forever. We promised to take on the ups and downs of life together. Semper fi...always faithful.
Two years later and he still gives me butterflies. Two years later and he still makes me laugh, he still makes me smile. Two years later he still makes me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. Two years later he still lifts me up, and makes me feel strong. I held out for him, I waited a long time...and boy am I glad that I did. This has been the best two years.
I want you to know...you deserve "the best two years" too (and more)! You deserve someone who gives you butterflies, who makes you laugh, who makes you smile. You deserve someone who tells you that you're the prettiest girl in the world. You deserve someone who lifts you up, and makes you feel strong.
Hold out for that guy...because he IS out there. You deserve him...you deserve the best!
Love you!
Jamie
